Joel Hume posted a condolence

I'm sending condolences to the Yungfleisch family on behalf of my mom- Jean Hume of Batavia- (the former Jean Gillette of Albion.) Mom and Eleanor were both members of the GREAT Albion High School Class of 1942 and had an equally great time over the years planning class reunions and getting together at other A.H.S. Alumni events. Alas - the end of another era!

Eleanor was such a good friend and Mother. We were neighbors for years before Daddy moved us south. She and my Mother learned to drive together...took lessons and it was on straight drive: no automatics then!! I know they needed that skill to get all their children where they needed to be (both families had 5 children).
I was lucky enough to have many spend the nights with them. I have such very good memories of the whole family.
Love to all of you.
Tom and I send our love and sympathy.

As a kid, I always loved going to the Yungfleisch house for dinner. It was always a feast. And if they had something I didn't like, I didn't have to eat it. Eleanor was so calm and always making a shy kid like me feel comfortable. I so admired her as a mother and wife and tried to model my family like hers. She was such a good example for a young women. May she Rest In Peace with her beloved.
