Bernard J. Robertson, formerly of Holley, died March 13 at the age of 95.
He was born July 12, 1923 in Holley to Jesse and Minnie Robertson and was a lifetime resident of this area.
Bernie was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Submarine Campaign from 1940-1945. He also worked as an experienced lens assembler for Bausch and Lomb in Rochester. He exited the corporate workforce and started and ran a successful plumbing and heating business, servicing Orleans County for his remaining years. Mr. Robertson was predeceased by his wife Ruby.
He is survived by his son: Russell (Louise) Robertson of Holley, his grandson: Jeffrey (Candace) Robertson of Albion, Niece: Susan (Thomas) Persia of Clarendon, Nephew: Roy Robertson as well as several cousins.
There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Bernie’s Graveside Service, MONDAY at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Albion Cemetery-Veteran’s Companion Section.
