Obituary of Peggy B. Collins
(ALBION) Peggy B. Collins, 90 years old, a resident of The Villages of Orleans in Albion, NY died on July 2, 2020. Peggy was born in Norristown, PA to Louis F. & Gladys A. Biehl on May 26, 1930. She is survived by her daughter Susan Collins Thaine, her favorite (and only) son-in law, Michael J. Thaine; her beloved grandchildren Abigail (Connor Hess) and Kyle Thaine (Shannon Broda); brother Clark (Nancy) Biehl; special family members, Chuck and Peggy Biehl (Joshua & Jared); and nieces and nephews. Peggy is pre-deceased by her parents; her husband Robert J. Collins; a brother L. Charles Biehl; a brother Paul Biehl; sisters-in-law, Francis M. Biehl and T. Christine Biehl; a nephew James Biehl. Peggy, a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, was a superior organizer and a detail-oriented person who always knew where every item was located in her home; a skill she did not pass on to her daughter. Peggy was a Literacy Volunteer, a youth group leader, and a Sunday school teacher. She was especially devoted to assisting her husband (Volunteer Chaplain) at the Orleans County Nursing Home/Villages of Orleans for almost 30 years. Peggy always sent cards to the nursing home residents for birthdays and holidays because she did not want anyone to feel forgotten. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service in Mt. Albion Cemetery, TUESDAY beginning at 2 p.m. which will be led by the Rev. Susan Boring. With the current restrictions regarding public gatherings due to COVID-19, you MUST wear a mask/face covering and observe all social distancing guidelines at the cemetery. Donations in Peggy’s honor may be made to Albion 1st Presbyterian Church, 29 E. State St., Albion, NY, 14411.
